the REVIEW of the REVIEWS of SKIN

Dennis Harvey's rating: "Design contributions are well-turned, tech aspects solidly pro."
The article from 'Variety' is considered, by me, as a retelling of the film rather than a review. Dennis Harvey offers scarce personal views. Apart from the last paragraph, where he mentions one sentence for each main character, there seems to be no comments within the review.

Roger Ebert's Rating: ****
Roger Ebert's four star review based on personal accounts is a well written article with few plot spoilers.

Reviewer's Rating: C+
Article three is probably the least pre-constructed article i have ever read. The anonymous critic is extremely narrow-minded. I recon there is no room in the spotlight for such a poor review concentrated on pointing out the scarcely occurring flaws of the film.

Aron's Rating: A satisfying discussion-inducing film
Asking me for an opinion would lead to a character analysis and a discussion regarding apartheid. I think this is exactly what the director meant for when creating this artistic film adaption of Sandra Liang's life.

"CUT-OUT" med 9 olika låtar

Sometimes I feel we strive for a life of sleep
But as we proceed, we wanna be active,
so we'll deal with it as it comes,
with a roll of the drums.
And Im a chase that feeling,
In rock's shadow, the kids are now spitting not singing
If I lose my way I'll follow you
He played a crazy break, and the chorus went...

Run with crew,
Whose Blood is blue,
Through life’s animal zoo,
And we might Come for you.

RUSHMORE REVIEW

RUSHMORE – WES ANDERSON

Max Fischer, a young and confused man who prioritizes everything in life but schoolwork, has a life-changing experience when he falls in love with 1st grade teacher, Miss Cross.
he does everything he can to impress her. When he “gets Latin back” he goes against what he himself believes in, for Miss Cross, as he hates Latin and calls it “a dead language”.
He soon finds out that his rich mentor, Mr Blume, is dating Miss Cross. This destroys their friendship by creating a “war”. As well as this, Max also has a young friend by the name of Dirk. Dirk always follows Max around and makes notes on Max’s ideas and plans.
When Max tells a school bully, just to sound tough, that Dirk’s mum has given him a hand-job, Max’s and Dirk’s friendship withers away.
I liked the ending since it was original but easily recognised from somewhere else. I gues you’ll just have to see for yourself.

I think every teenager can see themselves in Max in some way or another. Everyone falls in love at some point of their life. Unanswered love or if you’re lucky….

“Don’t let love destroy you, from the inside out”
